The Living Room

As per the plan, we were met by Mrs. Story Teller, however I wasn’t aware of her current mood… or the mood she had previously been in before we walked in.

“Good afternoon.” I calmly spoke, not knowing what kind of reaction I’d receive since I didn’t know which side of MST I would be receiving. She glanced over each of us one at a time; it’s so strange interacting with her because I always feel like I have to reintroduce myself. I grew a little nervous after seeing everyone’s body language, waiting in anticipation for some sort of grand introduction. “Um… I’ll clean this up later, ma’am.”

She glanced at me and smirked, “Excuse me, Michael, but what mess are you referring to? Don’t you like the way I’ve redecorated?”

I tried to make sure to keep everyone’s attention away from the body in the corner. “Uh, of course. I just wasn’t sure if red rose petals were the right color for this room…” I tried to move the group through the maze of chairs as I waved to her, “good to see you as always. I love your dress! Are those new shoes?”

She smirked a little within that porcelain skin and stared back over the group as her smile slowly faded away. “Please! Leave me alone!” She screamed.

Everyone was looking at me as if I let a rabid dog into the house. I decided to shrug off an explanation in order to keep time and move on.
